Park Studios Artist Development Programme

The Park Studios Artist Development Programme is a proposed 12-month initiative supporting ten emerging and progressing UK artists to develop ambitious original music through professional production, recording and industry guidance.

Planning and selection will begin in December 2026, with programme delivery taking place from January to November 2027.

About the programme

Park Studios is a new recording and production space opening in Camberwell, South London, in September 2026. Founded by producer and engineer Teigr, the studio has been created for writing, vocal recording, music production and mixing.

The Artist Development Programme will build on Teigr’s existing work with independent artists by providing a more structured journey from early creative ideas to completed music and professional next steps.

The programme will not be genre-specific. We are interested in forward-thinking original music across all genres and in artists with a distinctive creative direction and clear potential for progression.

Alongside supporting participating artists, the programme will help Park Studios establish a repeatable artist-development service, build long-term industry partnerships and generate future demand for the studio.

How it will work

Ten artists will be divided into two cohorts of five. Each artist will receive three individual development days at Park Studios:

1. Pre-production and creative planning

A focused day exploring the artist’s creative direction, material, arrangements, references and objectives for the programme.

2. Recording and production

A principal studio day dedicated to recording, performance, production and developing the selected music.

3. Finishing and progression

A final day focused on editing, mixing, completing the music and identifying practical next steps for release and career development.

Three specialist group sessions will be placed between these stages so artists can apply the learning directly to their work. Proposed subjects include:

• Creative direction and A&R

• Production and recording

• Management, labels and release strategy

Each specialist session will combine group discussion with short individual clinics.

Every cohort will conclude with a small invitation-only listening event for participating artists, peers and selected industry guests, followed by individual evaluation and progression planning.

Who the programme is for

The programme will be open to UK-based artists aged 18 and over who are creating original music and can demonstrate artistic potential and a clear reason for taking part.

We particularly want to reach artists who face financial or industry barriers to accessing professional recording, production and guidance.

Artists will be recruited through an open call and targeted outreach. Applications will be considered by a diverse selection panel drawn from Park Studios’ professional network, including experienced artists, producers, managers, label owners and A&R professionals.

Selection will consider:

• Artistic potential and originality

• Professional readiness

• How the artist would use the opportunity

• The likely effect on their development

• Barriers to accessing comparable support

Supporting technical careers

The programme will also create at least 20 paid development days for an assistant engineer.

Working alongside Teigr and visiting specialists, the assistant will gain practical experience in session preparation, recording, artist communication, studio workflow and project delivery.

The space

The programme will take place at Park Studios in Camberwell, close to Burgess Park. The approximately 300-square-foot studio is being professionally treated and equipped for focused individual sessions, five-person group workshops and small invitation-only listening events.

The initial acoustic construction and commercial launch of Park Studios are being funded independently of the proposed programme.

About Teigr

Teigr is a London-based producer, recording and mix engineer, composer and musician. His work supports artists from early creative ideas through production, vocal recording and final mixes.

The programme grows directly from this experience and from a belief that artists need more than access to equipment: they also need preparation, creative guidance, technical support, constructive feedback and meaningful professional connections.
